I don't hate winter. I hate snow, cold, ice, and the idiots who cannot drive in this stuff. Winter is a break in riding season....gives me more reason to thoroughly enjoy the riding season here. And then there's basketball.....

Makes me appreciate spring. Probably why I make it to Daytona just about every year for the past 40 years, shake off the winter blues. I've lived in NW Illinois, Mass and Cleveland so I understand the winter blues. Nice thing about living in NW Va in the blue ridge mountains is we can just about go riding every month. Even today I plan to get out for an hour, there are 2 inches of snow on grassy areas but its clear and mid 30's and the asphalt surfaces are dry. I don't worry about the salt and crap like that, it will wash off when I get a day in the 40's.

I can't say I hate winter, but I certainly don't like it, especially the cold and the snow & ice. Not that it stops me from riding, but it does limit my distance and sometimes even the roads I ride on.

When the snow storm ended yesterday we had a total of 5 inches of the white stuff. I shoveled off the deck and the front steps plus a path to the driveway. I was going to take out the snow blower but I noticed the driveway had been warm enough to drop the level of snow to 2 inches. I'm sure with the overnight low of 22 degrees it's solid (100 foot gravel driveway)

Last winter I only had to use the snowblower once!

Yeah, but you have to live in Cali. Spent most of my life there until 1997. Never looked back.

Angry I HATE Winter

Daily commute rider here and I hate winter, cold, and any temps below 60...
Got caught in the Snow Storm here in Central Texas coming home from work the other day.
Windshield froze over limiting visibility.
Made my 22 mile commute a little dicey since it was after dark.

Wow, didn’t think my comment in yet another one of the hundreds of winter threads would bunch your panties so much. Sorry about that. If this thread is just about hating winter and not about Harley’s, it belongs in Off Topic, that’s why I specifically made a comment about finding something other to do than worry about riding.

We finally got some cold weather here with some snow. Hopefully it stays for a while, there’s a week of muzzleloader hunting yet, then rabbit and grouse hunting till March, plus I have the itch to get on the ice and do some fishing. Can’t forget about 4 wheeling in the RZR!

Living in W. Texas I'll admit I'm a lite weight when it come to cold weather riding.

Those 2 pics make me cold just lookin at them.
I came to a decision a few years back.
If it's colder outside than the beer in my frig I Ain't Riding.

It's part of the seasons. But when it's 65° today and supposed to be 78° tomorrow, both with cloudless, sunny days, what's to hate?
