Default I put the TOYS away!!!

I usually have the motorcycles and summer cars in storage earlier than I did this year but we've had so much happening around here that changed our priorities.

Even as I was moving everything around the weather quickly changed and I got a few sprinkles on one of the bikes and both cars should have had a better cleaning but they'll get their TLC in mid-April.
I was in the basement this evening and my riding partner (who lives north and east of me) called me and said they were having some light snowflakes and we had a forecast of the same for tomorrow.

In other words folks, another riding season is gone!!

With that, I'm already thinking about more riding next season that I did during the last.

Same here in Wisconsin. Had a nice Fall, but my bike was really dirty underneath from all the riding in the rain this summer. Last week I realized it was going to get cold and stay cold so I washed the bike. I had just changed the oil, but I never got a chance to take it for a top off ride. So I need one more to check the oil and put some Stabil in, then it’s storage time. Snowed yesterday, 28 degrees now.

Well OP, must have taken you 6 minutes to post or you were late this morning. Haha. Just yesterday got my heated gear pigtail hooked up to the new bike so planning a ride today. 37 degrees at present but sunny forecast so gonna suit up today and hopefully get quite a few miles in. Sure sorry to hear all you folks that have to put the toys up for a spell but the coming year will be a barn burner, with the global warming and all.

A buddy and I went to Starbucks (4-5 towns away) yesterday afternoon.
Nice ride back on the frontage rode as the sun was getting ready to set.
Weather station is calling for more rain tonight, I rode in to work this morning.
37 deg I was supposed to borrow a heated vest to try out but did not get there yet.
I am not sure I am going to ride the new bike in much rain this year.
The poor truck needs some attention

Someday I will retire to AZ and worry about it being to hot in the summer.

Rubber is burnt out on the XR but I get new shoes this Sunday (part of the deal)

Running the FZ6... Perfectly warm enough in the mornings

A not so great season for me... Buying a house, being homeless for 2 months so moving twice (into a storage unit and then back out) killed my riding season, my vacations planned for trips was used on the house... Still doing OK, 19.6K is my current mileage for the season.

Even when the snow flies I'm ready, put the XR and FZ away for the winter and break my TU250X out and still ride all year round!

That's a cool bike. Never heard of it. That pipe must be aftermarket right?

Put one bike away so far. Filled the tank and added Starbrite, then ran it for 5 miles, drained the carbs (4), pulled the battery, and pushed it into the storage shed. The Harley I'll keep active all year as per usual. I haven't missed a month of riding since I bought it. The classics will get dealt with this weekend.

2015 Suzuki TU250X:

I bought it brand new last year for $3500. I think any expert rider can agree that 250cc bikes are just a BLAST to run. It is an Air-cooled thumper (DR derived motor) with Fuel injection. It will start and go on the coldest of days.

Yes in that pic I had it setup for Dual Sport purposes... Knobby tires, DRZ400 pipe, Ported head, modified intake, etc... I went back to stock w/ snow rated tread (Heads are still worked) for better fuel economy and all year round rideablity. How it sported with all the aftermarket:

Fell in love with it after I did a court mandated MSF course. The TU250X was the bike used there... It's so well balanced and handles phenomenal... With the Snow rated tires I have on it now (in the first pic above) I can hold the bar at 75-80MPH around any turn and most folks can't keep up in the twisties.. Rocks and rides dirt & fire roads and most groomed trails with ease.

Worth every penny!
