So i got a take off on ebay with tire for 300. got a flush mount axle also. The tire definitely went flat, I would not re use it. i didn't go back for the brick, prob half a mile and cars doing 80 on the tollway.. I also have Dairyland insurance. If you have that insurance don't expect any roadside assistance. I waited over 3 hours before I finally called a buddy to come get me. the tow called at 11:45 to say they were there, It happened at 6:45

Damn! Glad your ok.

Had a bag of cement fall off a truck 2 cars in front of me, when it hit it broke open and made a big cloud of dust so I couldn't see where it was in the road.
Luckily I missed it but I understand the pucker factor, although yours was probably 10 times wore than mine.

That sucks, but I guess you need to be glad it wasn't a ladder. I see crap on the highways everyday that people didn't secure.
Glad you're okay

I came in from a ride just two days ago and there in the road was a 'brick' in the center of the right lane.
If I hadn't been paying attention, I would have hit it.

I jammed on the brakes, pulled to the side and moved the brick to the ditch.

It amazes me how careless people can be..........

Glad you're here to tell the story. I think my butt pucker factor would have exceeded 10 by a few points.

Son of a bitch!

Always a fear when riding anywhere but especially the highways! Whoever it was that lost that brick deserves a huge smack up side the head!

Glad you came out of it to tell the story, bikes can be fixed or replaced it's way more complicated and painful to fix people!

Acme brick? Here's your prime suspect -
