Why didn't you buy it at the local dealer or Indy?

That was Plan A. My local dealer had the right side cap and the gaskets (which I also bought because, again, no one told me that they were included with the caps). But no one in my entire state had the left side cap. That's why I ordered it from Ronnie's, not realizing at the time that J&P also sells them (or a close equivalent) and would have had them here much sooner.

The sad thing is that it's the left side that's chattering. I can pull it to one side and the chatter instantly stops. So that's really the reason for my impatience and frustration with Ronnie's. I want that racket to shut up as of yesterday.

True. Such a decision is not to be taken lightly.

I ordered a rear brake line from Ronnies on Monday and got it on Thursday.

As far as a gas cap holder is concerned, I use this:

Eventually the ratchet mechanism in the gas caps loosen up and the caps rattle. I buy new ones from DK every few years.

Still WAY too slow. The company needs to hire Superman for deliveries. When you order it, he takes it, flies up into space and orbits the earth in a backwards direction so fast he goes back in time, and then knocks on your door with the delivery right as you click the order button.

My old right side cap was bobbing all over the place, but ironically, it's the left side that's making all of the noise.

Still too slow for me. I think that when you open a vendor's website, their vending machine should appear on your front porch. Make your selection, click Submit, and the item will fall down to the opening in the bottom.

Why go to a website. if they were really good, I would merely think about what I need, and it would arrive instantaneously (could get damn expensive though)

Think of all the women. You'd have to open a Bed and Breakfast!
