All I have on hand is HD Special Purpose Grease so I'm going to use that.
Edit: works like a charm:
Edit #2: Assembled...going back out in a bit to route the clutch cable and install the clutch cover assembly to the bike.
Edit #3: maybe the OEM clutch cable will be the one that works after all

Ordered some new boots, Wesco Jobmasters in black, these should make backing up a bit easier.
I also signed up for "The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride" (https://www.gentlemansride.com/) in San Luis Obispo on September 24th. I have my hotel reserved for a few days plus vacation from work, so I will be off to Solvang to visit their motorcycle museum (http://www.motosolvang.com/sitemap.html) on Saturday after the ride up from Murrieta, then on to the "DGR" ride on Sunday. I plan on riding back to Murrieta on Monday with a stop at the Petersen Automotive Museum (https://petersen.org/?gclid=CL3Dh7D10NUCFUpNfgodV4wJ5g) on the way back as I pass through L.A, I'm thinking about just hanging around downtown until 10 PM or so to miss the worst of the traffic going south. so these are the plans for my three day mini vacation, I should cover about 1200 miles or so, it should be fun.

Routed the clutch cable - it should work and looks OK. Ajusted the freeplay a nickels worth. I have to install the front brakes and put Ride On in the front tire then go for a ride. I have a date with that lady I met this coming Friday. I hope I have this thing on the road by then so I can pull up on it.

Went for a shakedown ride at sunset.
Perfect winter evening with an angry sky that brought a light sprinkling of rain on the return leg.

Ordered a Custom Cycle Engineering fork truss/brace, #TB 2649-1 WG. I'd been pondering a fork brace since moving to the +2 over Wide Glide fork tubes; looking forward to seeing how it changes things.
A few vendors claimed this will only fit '06 - '08 Wide Glides but I can see no legitimate reason it won't work on my '13. The '10 - up Wide Glides show a 'B' revision on the left slider but I believe that's due to the rotor change they got at the same time; all other parts are the same. I guess we shall see, it may be an expensive garage ornament
A bit more expensive than a SuperBrace but it looks much nicer; interestingly enough, SuperBrace says their brace fits '06 - '17 Wide Glides so I think this CCE brace is going to work out...
