Can't Give Away a Harley Around Here...

I had been looking on craiglist quite a bit lately but was kinda frustrated with just local searches. I stumbled upon search tempest, which lets you search nationwide in one search. Also, international.
pretty cool

remember to check bundle duplicates.

Nah, I just recently sold my '08 Low Rider and got almost that. Cycle Trader is better than Craigslist to sell. I had mine on both. Got more serious buyers on Cycle Trader though.

Ah Harley denial...most people with bikes for sale have it.
First...anyone looking for a twincam doesn't want an 88/5
In most parts of the country you wouldn't be getting any calls if the price was 4k.
If you really watch CL and ebay you would see that 90% of bikes for sale...don't sale at all.
There is a glut of used bikes like I have never seen before...yet people are still asking WAY over "book" value.
NADA and KBB have not caught up with how bad it is...most of their "book" values are higher than what you can actually sell for in a private cash sale.
The only Harley's selling right now are pre-69 that are correctly restored, or complete enough to be restored...low mileage bone stock shovels...and a few springer models...anything else, if you ain't giving it away plan on keeping it.
Muscle cars, classic trucks, and Rv's are selling for big bucks right now.

My 02 Springer would sell quickly and about what I paid for it 3 years ago. Even with 60k on it. I would still not get all my money back because it's needed fixing and service from time to time. Bikes are not any kind of investment, they need tires, servicing, parts need replacing, insurance, tags.
Same as cars. One or 2 models hold their value or go up if you keep them long enough and in perfect condition.
