You can borrow my bead breaker anytime. Ohio is not that far!
I think I'll spend the rest of the day cleaning up and maybe some polishing on the wheel. I doubt I'll go crazy with it...but then, maybe I will.
I'm not going to do the twisted spokes at this time, going to polish out the fork tubes, no chrome ones for now. I really want to put the progressive springs in the fork tubes. I have no idea how to do that so I'll read up on the manual.

It's not a hard job to change out the springs; I wrote this up for cvaria when he was doing his Wide Glide, a few tricks.
Follow the SM when it comes to the removal and install of the fork tubes, but follow Progressive's recommendations on spacer length and fluid height; the SM's specs are for the stock spring/spacer and won't work correctly with Progressive springs.
When you do go to mount your new Night Dragons, note the position of the red dot on the sidewall; Pirelli marks their tires in red to indicate the position of the valve stem
I have a homemade static tire balancer that I made about a decade ago. I have only used it on the Kawasaki twice. I am going to try the Ride On orange/pink stuff with the Dyna.
Simple...Personally, I don't like the look of twisted spokes
Fair enough. I think I'll skip the wheel polishing and just install the new front tire. The wheel bearings seem fine. No play, no binding they spin smoothly -using the old ones.
Time to sell some old parts on Ebay. I need $357 for the new lower triple tree, and also $$$ for the new progressive springs. I replaced the steering bearings not long ago, going to clean, repack, and reuse.

If you don't have the Progressive springs yet consider the heavy 11-1546 springs. I only 145 pounds but the heavy springs were the correct choice on my Wide Glide; not harsh at all, just firm and planted
Amazon will typically have best pricing on the Progressive springs. The heavy springs are 11-1546, the standard springs are 11-1525. You can cut your OEM spacers or use PVC to make new ones. If you do cut new spacers out of PVC be certain to clean all the debris off of them before you drop them in the tubes. And ya, that's happened on the forum; that debris will play the devil with the fork tubes
Yeah, I probably will be in touch with you TinCup!
I cleaned up the wheel a little and ready to install the new rim strip, tube, and tire. I have some tire lube around here somewhere, or I may need to make my own.
