Went out around 5:30pm, just wandering around. I eventually made it to my favorite road, along the Rock River. At one point I waved at a passing rider....it was a buddy of mine. We both turned around, ended up riding a bit and grabbing a pizza, before heading home. We rode home in the dark, along another river, slowly, looking out for deer. We saw one, right on the edge of the road....missed it. The night ride was awesome, just a bit cool, and calm as could be.
Our pizza....it was yummy.
Being on call for work hinders my ability to ride further than 30 minutes, give or take, from home, but I do what I can.
Today, after the Memorial Day parade and ceremony, I found some time to ride. It may have been the same old same old, route 2 along the Rock River, but I enjoyed it just the same. That's the Rockford Airport in the background.
In honor of Memorial Day, and those who gave all.
I'm at 9200 miles this year, and summer has yet to arrive.

Bingo!
Great day today. I was getting ready to wash the bike, when a buddy sent me a text asking if I was going to ride today. So yes, the bike is still dirty.
We rode for five hours and decided we should go home and have dinner with our families. LOL
I need to make an appointment for my 10000 mile service.

Took a ride to Marengo Guns after work. They didn't have any HK VP9SK's in. I was bummed. On the way home I hit home on the GPS. It took me on roads I had never seen. It was a fun back road ride.
i hit 10000 miles on the bike, and the season, early in the ride.
I only rode for a couple hours, but it was awesome out. Where I was when I hit 10,000 miles.
It's a long and lonesome highway.....
It's going to be a good year.
A nice after work therapy session.

Took the day off, to ride. Wandered a bunch of back roads up into Wisconsin. Went as far north as Blue River. From there I went to Cassvile and took the ferry to Iowa. I rode through Dubuque and down to Sabula where I crossed over to Savanna Illinois. I went home from there, picked up the wife and headed for dinner in Peru. After dinner we headed to Starved Rock State Park. By the time we got there it was dark. Riding the twisty turns on 73, heading to Ottawa, under the full moon, was awesome. We took back roads to Mendota, then headed home. It was a great day of riding.
518.7 miles, and a 14 hour day of fun.

Yesterday the wife and I took back roads to Woodstock then took 120 to Lake Michigan. From there we went to Kenosha. From Kenosha we took back roads to Rockford. We stopped for dinner then headed home. It was an 850 mile ride weekend, loved it all.
