Default RECALL: 5/25/17 Oil Line Clamps on 2017 Touring Bikes

Open recall for all 2017 Touring bikes (FLHX, FLHXS, FLTRX, FLTRXS, FLHTCU, FLHTCUL, FLHR, FLHRC, FLHRX, FLHP, FLHTP) built 07/02/16 through 05/09/17. Clamps on the oil cooling lines may have been installed incorrectly, leading to a possible leak. I know two people on the forums have already had this problem fixed in the past couple weeks.

VERBATIM:
Last Updated May 25, 2017
Harley-Davidson has learned that the oil line clamp, part numbers 10198, 10080, and 10344, used on the oil cooling system on certain model year 2017 Touring model motorcycles (FLHX, FLHXS, FLTRX, FLTRXS, FLHTCU, FLHTCUL, FLHR, FLHRC, FLHRX, FLHP, FLHTP) built in the US 07/02/16 through 05/09/17 may not have been properly installed, such that an oil line may become detached and cause a suddenloss of engine oil.

Safety Risk
If this condition remains undetected it could lead to oil on the rear tire whichmay result in loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

REMEDY
Owner's of affected motorcycles will be asked to arrange service with an authorized HarleyÂ*Davidson dealer, who will confirm that the motorcycle is covered by this recall. If covered, the dealer will inspect the clamps of the oil cooler system to ensure they are properly installed. If any clamps are foundto be improperly installed, the dealer will correct the installation of the clamp. This service will be provided at no charge to the customer.
We strongly urge you to take your motorcycle to your dealer to have the appropriate service performed as soon as possible. Should you choose to ride your motorcycle prior to this service, we urge you to be aware of this condition. Some product campaigns may have expired and you may have to pay for the service. Please see your local Harley-Davidson dealer for further details.

Yep, it effects my bike. Called my dealer, they just got notification yesterday, said they are awaiting instructions and maybe parts from HD corporate. I will just keep an eye on it in the meantime.

Sounds like this could be something easy to just check ourselves if we know where to look. Does not look like it affects CVO

Correct, only effects bikes with oil cooling systems, not bikes with twin-cooled systems.

The month and year will be on the sticker on the left side front down tube of the frame.

Or you can give your vin to any dealership and they'll tell you if your bike is effected by the recall.

Looks like it is at least clamps #1 and #2 in the part diagram with #1 being black, listed on the parts list with no color stated for #2. Looking at mine they are: #1 is silver and #2 is black. looks reversed to me. Guess I will find out when I get a notification. Mine are all tight and look to be installed in the correct locations.
