With a rack like that, then you can carry a bag like this, which is wheeled. I have this wheeled bag and it holds a lot more than it looks like. I like that it keeps the weight low unlike some bags end up being five feet tall. When I get to the hotel, I slip it off, extend the handle and roll it on in easily.

Thanks! I was just about to post asking about racks. I do need one - we are planning a weekend trip soon, and then we are riding to Sturgis this year as well.

 

Apparently, I don't have access to post in the classifieds... So, if anyone has a two-up detachable rack for sale, preferably black, I am interested.

 

Get a wide one. I got mine on a deal but I wish it was a little wider for when I use my roller bag.

 

Amazon has the king rack for $80... Really can't beat that!

 

I ended up holding off on the rack for now as I don't have much of a need at the moment. But, I did end up buying a Long Ride Shield 7" Ultra Elite Dark Tint for $69 shipped on Amazon - and it shipped same day!
I also bought a Ram mount for my phone that has taken over 5 days just to get to the post office... I got the mount that attaches to the controls for $12 for a total price of $44 shipped.

 

Oh yeah, and I bought the Sunpie LED Headlight for $58 today with Prime shipping. Also, don't forget the adapter harness!

 

I ordered the LRS ultra elite on Monday morning, it shipped out the same day and I just got it tonight! I slapped that puppy on there and took her for a test ride - boy what a difference! Visually it's about 1 inch higher than the stock shield. Since it stands up straighter than other curved shields, the wind goes much higher over my head than the wind splitter or klockwerks.
