Brandon's 2017 FLHX
Hey, guys. I'm creating this thread to keep a journal of everything and anything having to do with my 2017 Street Glide. I bought the Denim Black Street Glide a week ago on 3/6/17 with 804 miles on it.
Pic from the dealership before riding it away.

The first thing I noticed about the bike was the wind buffeting... Wow! My ears were ringing and my eyes were rattling around in my skull. With 75 mph speed limits here in rural Texas, the wind has to be managed.
I ordered the Kuryakyn lower triple tree deflector from Amazon for $34 ( ), fairing deflectors from a 2014 Ultra Classic on eBay for $40 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/302227773233), and fork deflectors from JES Custom Accents for $70 (http://www.jescustomaccents.com/WindDeflectors-06-Present-Street-Glide-Electra-Wrinkle-Black-WindDefl-06-p-WBlk-SGlide-Fangs.htm;jsessionid=0B4F685263767ACE0B5A7FC3B7A9BFB4.p3plqscsfapp004).
The fork fangs are on closeout right now - you can get wrinkle black coated or chrome for $70, or you can get raw metal for $40 (these do not work with lowers or auxillary passing lamp setups). The newer style that JES has work with all setups. These should be arriving today!
The fairing wind deflectors from the 2014 Ultra Classic said they would not be compatible with any Street Glide, but that is definitely false - they mounted on perfectly.
The lower triple deflector helps with the updraft over the tank for sure, not much hitting my chin any more. And the fairing deflectors are incredible - they bring the air all the way back to side, rather than it hitting my gut like it was before.

You can see the lower triple tree deflector here. Removed the upper bolts from the lower clamp, installed deflector and bolts, torqued to 17 ft-lbs.

Fairing deflectors installed. Removed the plugs, lined up the bracket to the holes, inserted three 10-24 x 5/8" per side, torqued to 20 in-lbs.

welcome, congrats, and nice bike! I love the Black Denim. Same color I chose when I got mine back in Dec. Rode it for a few hundred miles and then snow hit. Can't believe we're in March and there is still 12-24 inches on its way tonight! In the meantime I'm wrapping up my winter projects. Made lots of changes on the bike and I can't wait to get out. Will post details soon!
Ride safe!
