Hey all,
I'm taking delivery of the bike this Saturady, 76 degrees predicted in Eastern NC. Not bad for Feb.
I kinda wired waiting to get the new bike, I would have it right now but sent the seat out to Mean city cycles for a seat mod. I would like to have more than the ***** of my feet on the ground before I ride her home.

I test drove a 2016 and a 2017 back to back and there was no question about which bike I had to buy. I ride a 2015 FLSTC and really did not believe the hype about all the new changes to the touring bikes. I am a true believer now, Amen.


Planning a Stage 1 after I get a few hundred miles on it. V&H power dual head pipe, V&H 4.5 OS Titans and the SE heavy air breather along with a dyno run.
I still can't believe how nimble the 2017 was compared to the 2016

 

Yes sir. It is amazing how nimble my SGS feels compared to my TC springer that was sacrificed for the better.

Its amazing how many posts I've noticed regarding the SG being the first touring bike many have moved on to. Of course those of us that have gotten the M8 fever had no choice since we couldn't wait another season for the M8 to be offered in every model.

But I think the SGS Hard Candy option is a sexy ride with a comfort upgrade but still streamlined with a tiny bit of hell yeah. No wonder its the highest selling model.

 

Yeah, traded in a 2013 Street Bob for a 2017 SGS. I think the SGS handles better and the motor is the icing on the cake.

Hot Rod Red is an awesome color! Saw that color on a Street Glide and a Road Glide at my local dealer and was blown away. I couldn't afford that color option so I went with Vivid Black.

The m8 is my first real touring bike too! plenty of miles on the softail breakout and other bikes I've had.. surprised it took me so long to finally get one.. just thinking back all the back breaking years of riding on sport bikes and who knows how many uncomfortable cruisers.. test rode the m8 and never looked back. also been modding since I got her just two months ago.. list is long and i'm not finished yet.

That paint scheme is wicked, pictures just don't do it justice. When I went in to buy my M8 CVO SG my wife saw the exact same bike, and two hours later we both walked out of the dealership with a new scoot for each of us. Can't wait until the snow is gone so we can break them in together. Congrats on the new ride.
