Interesting. I love the old school bikes of any make.

 

Neat bikes but can we get rid of African, Italian, Irish etc -American already.. blah

 

I totally agree! If you are born her you are American. We need to let the label thing go and move on. Every one loves motorcycles right?

 

My "black" friend confirmed that the AA term (forum was censoring the word m o n i k e r?) is offensive now. No joke. Get with the times if one wants to be PC. Black is perfectly fine as confirmed by several people. And yeah, that happens after a couple beers. "Let me ask you something". Two way street.

 

A couple of years ago I met an electrician on one of my jobs.
He was from Africa and attended college in NY where he met his future Wife.
After his marriage he became an American Citizen.

He is the only African American I've ever met and just in case you're wondering he is Caucasian.
Being Black and an American doesn't make a person an African American, it makes them a Black American.

 

Just eating popcorn on this one and seeing how it shakes out. Should be fun.....

A guy on my gun crew in the Marines was a white guy from South Africa. Spoke English, Afrikaans, and I think Zulu. But to look at him you'd think he was Joe 'Whitebread' America from Smalltown, USA. Interesting guy, too- he was studying journalism in college and one of his projects while he was enlisted was keeping copious notes to prepare for writing a book on his experiences when he got out. Last I heard he was on a 20-year career track
