When I bought it...only had 1.75" slip-ons


Here is what it was before going on the operating table this week.


On the operating table....replaced motor mounts, installed DK Customs Rocker Lockers. Will be installing Bikini Beach Bars, chrome ergonomic clutch/brake levers, and braided stainless steel cables (re-routed and hidden), and re-routing my PowerVision cable while the tank is off. Rush 2.25" baffles coming in next week....will be replacing my 2" baffles in my 3" slip-ons because I like loud.

Regrets/what I would have done differently...made a custom set of exhaust for it.

 

Holy smokes, these are some awe inspiring rides guys! I must say this is a great thread and cant wait to see more. From show stoppers to street brawlers, there is already a great representation of Sportsters here. now I have to go get a rag to clean the drool off my keyboard.

and how it stands currently

 

Well, since 'everyone is doing it'... Here's the OL's Iron
when we bought it (but with lowering blocks) and how it
looks now - mostly. (alot of changes coming, but its not all assembled)

Not gonna list all the parts, cause most are just 'bolt ons'....

 

This was the day I bought it. It was mostly stock had screaming eagle airl cleaner and screaming eagle slip ons.

The picture kind of sucks and will get a better one in the spring. But this is how it sits now.



I cut several inches off the the rear fender relocated the turn signals and license plate.

Lowered the back end with nightster shocks from a member here

DK spring seat eBay.

Replaced whole exhaust with Samson hell raisers

Replaced wheels with nightster wheels eBay.

Rebuilt front forks painted black while apart

Hand made sissy bar

Only thing I wish I wouldn't have done is strip the threads on primary cover where the clutch cable goes on. Still need to fix that.
