Accident scar is gone :)
And so is the winter project
I thought I'd be able to work on this for a few days but it didn't last long enough. I posted about 3 months ago about being rear ended. I decided to do the work myself and do a few upgrades with the leftover money. I was lucky to find the exact color febder NIB on eBay for $350 vs $800 form Harley and the rest of parts I sourced cheap as well. I was able to work the Saddlebag and straighten rail guard took as good as they did before the accident so I saved them and both crash guards and with that, quite a bit of money.
Yesterday I tightened the last few nuts and bolts. Did a few upgrades along with the repairs, added all l.e.d turn signals and tail (custom dynamics), added HD chrome Saddlebag fillers and a V twin bumper.
Really happy with the way it turned out and very excited to have had my 12 year old help me along the way.
Still have about 1/2 the insurance money for upgrades, contemplating new wheels and tires.

Congratulations ... As Gene Autry would say "Back in the Saddle Again" ... Working with the son is very rewarding. I remember when I did the Shovelhead "resurrection" ... My youngest son was there from the tear-down to a bare frame and finished with the "firing up" at the completion. He still talks about it. :>)
