Default 2003 fxd right hand control wiring

Recently cut the wires from the right hand control to wire them internally through the bars. Had all the wires marked then they all got cleaned off. Anyone have a schematic for te right had control so I can just solder them back

Look on page 2 of the Dyna discussions. There is a post from FXD2003Rider with complete wiring diagrams for a lot of different years and models.

Good luck.

Hi could i test the wires with a test light? That schematic looks different, I have purple wires for some and that doesn't show any

No Violet (Purple) wire used from the factory for a 2003 Dyna Hand Controls

Skinman13 told you where to find the wiring diagram for your bike in case your don't have a service manual. I think it's the same place I found this diagram and it's direct from HD.

If you take a ohms meter you should be able to figure out which wires goto which switch. Just remember that the O/W wire supplies power to both the turn signal and brake light switches when you're doing your testing.

Are you sure you are working on the right hand switches?

Violet is left hand signal circuit, the wire between the turn signal module and the signals.

White/violet wires run between the left turn signal switch and the turn signal module.

Clip the wire on your test light to the positive battery terminal. Pick a wire from a switch and connect it to ground. Then touch the probe end of the test light to the other wires (one at a time) to see when the test light lights up. Of course the switch would have to be in the ON position meaning that you would have to depress the brake lever, or hold the turn signal switch depressed. I think you would also have to have the Run/Stop switch in the Run position to check the start button. A cheap Volt/Ohm meter (probably about $10) would allow you to do the same tests without chancing shorting something out.
Just as an example using the test light or VOM
the W/BN & the O/W both goto the Right Turn Signal switch so if you ground the W/BN & touch the probe of the test light to the O/W, the test light should light when the RT Turn Signal switch is depressed. A VOM meter set to Ohms would read "0" when the switch was depressed.
Hope this makes sense .... Good luck
