I'd say don't buy tools. I'd bet most riders have tools, whether they do their own wrenching of not.

There are tools and then there are tools. Most of us have wrenches, screwdrivers and such, but how many have a good micrometer, for example?

how about tools that are just for harleys ? like main drive gear puller and installer, inner primary bearing race puller and installer, belt pulley nut socket, primary jam bar, cam tools, wheel bearing puller and installer,, welder, torch, a 20 ton press, parts cleaner, drill press, torque wrenchs and micrometer are always good choices. all kinds of things i can think of buying someone. if all else fails, a case of beer works well too.

i told my wife not to get me the same thing as last year. i got a t-shirt and then we had sex. i told her both were to big !
