At the top of Hossier pass. 11,500.

It's a nice ride up. Big wide road. But then, off the top and heading down the North side ......

..... It's a cork screw. There are several of these.

The Modern Cliff Dwellers of Colorado. This is on the connecting road between 9 and 6.

On the way up to Loveland pass

At the top

Looking West

That road you see is the freeway we are heading for.

On the way down and looking at the East Entrance of Eisenhower Tunnel. I was tempted to go up and back in it. But decided against it.

Darla is on a hell of an angle here so I could park her off the road. I was very carefull getting her back up and getting moving. I did not want to have to pick her up at this elevation by myself.

What a great day. Tomorrow I head up towards Rocky Mountain National Park. Then on towards Steamboat Springs. Not sure where I will be tomorrow night, but I imagine it will be a picture heavy day.

Hwy 72 North of Idaho Springs is a great road. But you better be on your game to get through Central City because the route is not marked well. It looks like a great little town but I just waddled my way through it so I could get to the park. Lots of new pavement, grades up and down, and interesting little towns all the way to Estes Park. I stopped there to refresh and then headed on up into RMNP. and just WOW!! The grades, the mountains, the 12,000 foot pass, everything is just spectacular. Once off the top I got the bike moving because I wanted to get to Steamboat Springs. I got in, found a room, unpacked and went looking for a bowl of Spagetti. To the Picts....
