Default 225 degrees. Too hot?

Just got back from a 25 mile run and noticed my oil temp at 225. No signs of over-heating but, Im wondering, if that temp is a little high. Its 96 here today (feels like 108). Thanks.

That's within acceptable range. Oil cooler would take 10° to 20° off. Highly recommend for Texas summers.

I have a Jagg 6 core oil cooler and run dino oil.
My oil temp never gets over 175°.

Granted I don't ride in town with all the traffic which will tend to run your oil temps up.

Nah, not too hot. You could look up the tech data of your oil and see at what temp it starts to oxidize or breakdown at. But IMO your good. Yd

A good synthetic is fine to 300 degrees. My bike runs 225 in the FL heat in stop and go. I say you're fine.

89 We are in Texas

That's on the upper side but not a big deal.

That's one of the reasons I do run syn oil.

We have had high temps out here.
