Default 2016 Red Switchback.. Is this a good deal?

Just curious if this is a decent deal. The bike I am looking at is a 2016 Switchback in Velocity Red Sunglo.

They are giving me $7500 for my 06 Street Bob with 4400 miles and has about 6K in accessories (which I know dealers could care less about) The bike has fresh oil change and brand new tires. I feel like he is putting top dollar in my trade.

The difference is $12k financed at 7.25% with payments of $184 a month. My credit is not the best.

Any comments would be welcome. Thanks.

Including the trade value they're offering, that gives the Switchback an out the door of $19,500, which is about what you'd pay for a new one without the trade. Unless you're absolutely firm on owning a brand new Switchback, I know you can find a low mileage used one for less than the balance of $12k you'll be financing after trading yours in. Wouldn't you rather have 2 bikes AND save yourself some money in the process? Also, think about what you'll want to put into the new bike (exhaust, tuner, bars, etc.).

This isn't a plug to sell my bike, just an example. I've got a 2012 Switchback with 1700 miles on it that I've got listed for $8500. That should give you an idea of what other used ones can be had for.

Just my $.02

Be careful, there are lots of used switchback out there and they seem to lose their value quicker than most. Especially here in Texas. Just look within 50 miles of Frisco and you will see alot for sale from $9-$11K. Which dealer are you looking at, Allen? Check dream machines.

I think you could throw a few bucks at your street bob and and get all a switchback has to offer. I've heard the '06's had IPB problems or something? Is that why you want to trade in? You have no miles on your bob. I set my street bob up with an FL front end and a switchback rear fender, Some 16" laced wheels, floorboards and bags. I have 51000 miles and still running strong. Mines an '07. Isn't there a fix for the '06 now? I think the deal above is money thrown away. You still will probably want to personalize the FLD, right? Work with what you have IMO.

Just saw a used 14 switchback with super low miles for $10200....invoice on a new one is $13750...I would not be financing a new one at that rate right now either...

Keep your Bob. You don't ride enough to warrant the expense. 4400 miles in 10 years? There are runners and walkers with more miles on their ****'s! LOL! j/k with ya!

I'd tell you to rent a 2016 FLD for a weekend, THEN make your decision.

where did you see that? No deals like in the Dallas area..

Also, where did you get the invoice price?

Can you say 'Smoke & Mirrors'. That's isn't any kind of a deal for you. It's a deal for the dealership.
