like I said earlier if you're familiar with it and you know what you're doing with it they all work great just a matter of preference..

I dont expect it to be a cake walk. I figured replacing the chokes and jets at the very least but I agree most carbs can be made to work, some easier than others.

Have had my "B" easily that long... and still like them... but, try a QwiksilverII... you will really like that one... Only one I like as much as a CV, for the Street..
Edit; well.... the original Butterfly Screamin Eagle/Andrews FlowMaster is a Damn good Carb on a Shovel, that generally does Not require an adapter, like the CV, Slight improvement over a well tuned O.E. "Ka-Sneeze"..which actually work well, If [big word] you Tune it... Most Cannot!

42 MM mikuni is the end all for drivability / performance - CV gets better mileage and works on anything you put it on

LOL... I'm a total bonehead... not too smart and definitely not too good looking... I bought my 75 FLH and it had a Super E on it.... had to rebuild it.... watched a video on YouTube, ordered a rebuild kit from Lumpy at Cape Cod Choppers... Lumpy agreed with me that I'm not too smart and definitely not a looker... went to work that night and rebuilt my carb, at work , while watching the you tube videos... Thank God it was a quiet midnight shift... I bolted that puppy on the next morning … rode it to work that night....

If a jackass like me can do that with a Super E, just about anyone should be able to...

thought I'd share

So a "B" would be a Cake Walk for you!!!
BTW if folks spend as much time on the Stock Ka-Sneeze as is/has been spent on the "E" , there would be alot more of them in Service... but since they came Stock, from the dreaded MoCo... NFG... Obviously...

I'm going to reinstall the original Keihin on my FXR when it goes back together - so I'll be looking to learn tuning tips. I've rebuilt S&S and Mikuni round slide carbs, this can't be too difficult. But, someone monkeyed with the idle mixture screw in the past, and judging by this bike's history, it probably didn't go well, and they put the S&S on it.
