Default piston pin circlips

I know this will sound like a stupid question but is there a trick to installing the piston pin circlips ?? Iam trying not to be to heavy handed with them and I know there has to be a easier way to get them in.these are just the round stock cast piston circlips.....any advise would be great,thanks

we use a small pick - the piston pin hole has a special cutout / a small opening and if you clock it so the end not the start of the spot you install it is around one hour away from the hole = put the pick under it and and into the small hole - pop into place -- put the left side in on the bench and rag around the right so if it goes flying it wont end up in the block not a good thing to have happen - after doing the left side on the bench you willl get the idea caution - if you end up after the install the clip slides around in the piston PM me i have lots of those i will mail you one and you will need to replace it as they need to be tight -good luck - jz
