Default What Trans is this?

I know this bike came with a 4 speed. This is a chrome plated 5 speed. The numbers on it are 583011653 if it helps. Cant find a name on it. There is what looks like it should be a vent tube with a red cap on it. Anyway, trying to figure it out so I can see what oil it should have in it. Any ideas?

That is a revtech 5 speed in a 4 speed case...never heard anything good about them...the have a really bad rep. The good news is...most problems were with the gears, and any HD 5 speed gearset will bolt in with little problem, but you need an pre 88 set if you want to use the 4 speed clutch. The red cap should be replaced with a vent hose...any good gear oil will be fine.

Your right it is and they were junk , had big problems with shift arms and chipping gears not to mention hard clunking shifting . Waste of money final drive was still 1-1 it didn't have that overdrive everybody thought they did .
