Default Trade opportunity

So I have been working on a 1971 Ford F100 Sport Custom (SWB) for almost 2 years, long story short, I am tired of working on it. I do not enjoy 4 wheels like I do 2...So I put it on CL, and have contacted a few people. One guy is interested in a trade for either of these.

Dont know much about either of them at this point (still really early in the conversation), but can tell they are both Shovels, one is a 67, and the bagger is a 76 FLH....

What are some things to look for and check about them to make sure they are on the up and up? I know very little about the AMF day Shovels..... My truck is worth about $5500-$6,000 so I would like something that I can ride, and work on little by little...

That rigid is/will be a real A$$ Buster ... I'd be considering the FLH ... Do your homework and check the VIN Numbers ... and remember that the Shovel is a great motor, but it does need some special attention form time to time ... a little maintenance will take you a long way with out problems ... Good Luck Brother!

The FLH is what I was leaning torwards!! I've been wanting a bagger for awhile now...and an old school bagger would be like the best of both worlds to me!

I don't think it's a 67... it's a cone shovelhead...

If it was a pan shovel it would have a generator bottom end.

that would be correct... but the one on the picture is not a pan/shovel...

it should look something closer to this:

There is nothing 67 about the chop but maybe the frame. Looks like the FLH has no front rotor. For a trade would go for the FLH. Look it over good and see how it rides and runs out. Good luck.
