Default Are shovelheads dinosaurs now?

Getting back into it after a couple of decades (or more), still have my '76 shovelhead. I can't help but notice that this is a huge forum, but the number of people posting in the shovelhead section is miniscule. Are the old Harleys really that irrelevant now?

Irrelevent????? Never. At least not to me and others on here.
Harley has done a good job of expanding their customer base and keeping long time buyers. Increased product line equaled increased customers.

That's funny look at my sig pic title

Shovels are where Panhead were 20 yrs ago , we are the odd guys with the cool bikes . Tell me the shovel doesn't get more attention at a gathering than any new bike there .

That works for me! I've always loved Harleys, Shovels and Pans in particular. I simply have no desire for the newer ones. I'm going to stop there, I'm sure feathers would get ruffled if I gave my full opinion, lol.

I am pleasantly surprised by the parts availability, and prices on most things seem quite reasonable, but seats...yikes!

That's it for me also. Once they put the engine in rubber, the Hondafication had begun IMO.
