I think shovels are far from irrelevant ! i bought mine two months ago i hadnt had a harley for twenty years had jap and british stuff in the intervening years , had a 45 and iron head before . My mates all have evo's and twin cams they think im ****ing nuts ! There are fewer and fewer on the road over here and if you can find a tatty one here for less than £7000 you have done well so they are definatly not irrelevant ! when i ride with my mates i know which bike gets the most attention when we stop and it aint theirs ! You should be proud of what you have its part of your heritage , so they might be tempermental and require regular maintenace ( bit like women ) but hey they are worth it the shovels that is not women ! all the best enjoy it

To me this place is geared for the newer bikes, you just have to go to different places for different things. Like any thing.
