75 FXE voltage regulator question

As Twizted mentioned Acell can tend to be junk today. I used CycleElectric for my stator/regulator and went from the 22 amp (stock) to a 32 amp system.

Not cheap but peace of mind since I do a lot of solo distance riding.

Probably not. More likely one of the wires on the regulator chaffed and the wire shorted out there. Check all three wires closely.
