brake question
I just bought a repair kit for a 1980 FLT front master cylinder. it went together without a problem. Now i cannot get any fluid to come out. even if i remove the brake line from the master cylinder, no fliud. i took it back apart without success. i have a hd shop manual and the kit was bought from hd for this bike. The old stuff matched up perfect with the new stuff. can anyone help please!!!!!

They can sometimes be a bitch to make work. Did you hone the cylinder? And use brake fluid to lube the hone and reassemble it? Then I suggest washing the MC with hot water and Dawn dishsoap. Hot as you can stand will dry off OK. Is the piston returning? I've found some hang up if not smooth enough on the bore.
Make sure you are using the proper DOT-# fluid. DOT-3 fluid will 'eat' DOT-5 rubber seals. And mixing the two fluids is a no no.
Also, you should refit the caliper, too. How much is your life worth?
