Might as well keep this thread going. Been riding my 78 1/2 FXS for 26 years now. Torn apart and redone twice just because. After a heart failure episode, I'm starting on a third remove, replace, repair. Going with some solid Fatboy wheels. New rear brake system. New front tubes, brakes, new rear shocks. She already has Evo ignition and 35amp alternator. Closed primary, remote oil filter, Mustang seat. AS long as the old ticker lasts long enough for me to ride it again. haha

nice bike. i used to run that air filter on my stock carb. before i went s&s. whats that filter called

i can relate to everything in post#47 and add in a broken right foot if you know what I mean lolThe memories are forever carved into my skin in more than one location and wouldn't give my shovelhead up for any other bike.

It's been so long since I got it, I can't remember where or the brand of it. All I can do is be my smart-assed self and say it's called "round". Just kidding, I really can't remember. "Dragtron" comes to mind, but I think they were flat were this one has a curve to the top cover.

mines round too and its still bolted to the stock carby in the garage cuboard

the brake pedal looks like a modified stocker. something different

It is the stock brake pedal. Homemade forward controls.

isnt it hard to reach. i had forwards- running boards but was never comfortable. went back to stock. more control for me
