dry primary leaking

The problem could be the seal you see in my album 'primary chain-- picture 16. The primary is still vented thru the clutch push rod hole and back thru vent on top of transmission. With a primary belt I would have thought at least the drain plug would be removed. Oil get get in there from two places and what happens if it gets a lot of oil in there? Just my opinion since I had not delt with this type of conversion.

mainshaft seal does sound like the culprit . take the outer primary off and investigate .check to c if its commin from the crank seal as i have come across the same prob. and yes keep an eye on the fluids cause no u dont want those repairs

A stock replacement bushing and the double seal trick will get you there no problem . maybe 1 in 20 people will have a clue about machining the spacer for an o-ring if your lucky .

I found a guy that's a machinist for NASA Glenn here an he's doing my machine work. Just got to wait 2-3 weeks for him to have time to get to it. Hope I don't forget how every thing goes back.
