Default passenger pegs and drag pipes

Hi All,

I recently added 2"Drag pipes on my 75FX. The problem I am having now is that I cannot use the peg on pipe side because the pipes interfear when trying to unfold the peg.

Has anyone run into this problem? I am guessing I need a different type of mounting bracket for the pegs but I dont seem to be able to find anything.

Any Suggestions...

Thanks,
Gigg

Post some pics so we can see what you got. Stock brackets should be high enough.

Sqdealgeorge... I swear some people have to just make usless comments to see how many posts they can accquire :-). I know I can have a bracket made. I just wanted to see if someone had found a replacement bracket that I was not aware of. Thanks Anyway.

flh80 I am the original owner of this bike so I am sure rear footpegs are stock. I think I will just remove the foot peg and see if I can find a bracket that will work.

Thanks,

Gigg

Agreed. They offer nothing but stupid jibberish of no help.

Are the pipes made specifically for your bike model? Some slight differences can interfere with other parts.

Sqdealgeorge.... heheh thanks good idea. Ohh your spellchecker forgot to tell you to put a period at the end of your sentence. BTW I probably have owened this shovel longer than you have been riding. Snicker snicker heheh. It may even be older than you. But who realy cares. All in fun.

To everyone else thanks, I went up to a Mom Pop shop and they pulled a bracket out of a pile of old thingies.

did ya use a different bracket for the peg or the pipe? i would think if the problem started after changing pipes that that is where the problem is. just asking, not trying to give ya a hard time.
