I think I just bought about what you were looking for. I found a 1978 Lowrider shovelhead and bought it a few days ago. Looking to make a bobber from it.

damn it man! That is what i am looking for. If you dont mind me askin, what did ya give for that nice lookin gal?

I just got a ton of more pictures of the blue shovel, this thing is imaculate! About 60 pics of the build process. No expense was spared on this bike. I've got the jeep trans shiting good now, so i hope to get this bike in my garage here this week or so.

Good luck to you on getting your shovel. When I found mine I was actually looking for a basket case with a rebuildable motor and tranny. I have been wanting to build a shovel bobber. Already had my frame picked out. Then a buddy and I went into a local indy shop that we are friends with. Went back into the shop and there she sat. Asked the shop owner who it belonged to and if he might want to sell it. Called the owner and finally worked out a deal for $3300.00. It has set up for at least 4 years since it was last titled.

I was still set on robbing the bike of the motor and tranny. Got it home and really started looking at the bike and how complete it is. Now I am leaning heavily towards a restoration. I plan on tearing the bike down to the frame next week while on vacation and then tearing the motor down. After I get it all apart I will make a decision on what course to pursue.

Hope your deal works out. It is a good looking bike. A man right up the road from me has an all original 83 WG with 17000 miles he is asking $9000.00 for if that helps you on a price line any.

Indeed it does. I was looking for something like u purchased. But it will save me time having the motor rebuilt, still would like a kicker kit on it. But i think its a fair trade... I am working on getting vin # so i can run them to be sure everything is kosher on that end. But we had planned to meet on saturday so i can look at the bike, and he the jeep and quad. So the deal might go down this weekend.
