I finally mounted a CV on my old shovel.I bought the carb at a swap meet many years ago to replace the Dellorto I had been running.The Dellorto is a spigot mount carb,so the Keihn mounted right up, but I could not figure out how to do a clean install of the air cleaner.A friend gave me an old Evo air cleaner so I butchered the backing plate to a size slightly smaller than the round K+N I had found at a swapmeet. I cut the center out of the air cleaner to fit the carb intake and drilled 2 holes through the air cleaner and backing plate and used 2 long #10 screws and locknuts to hold the filter.I took an old socket holder and cut and drilled it for a brace,I'll probably make a little nicer one later.I took Filthy Lucre's suggestion and rejetted to a 48 pilot(I may go to a 50) and a 190 main, I also shimmed the needle with single 1/8 brass washer.The old shovel flat hauls.New life into the old scoot.
