Default 6 speed for 80 shovel

Has anyone installed a Baker 6 into 4 tranny in a 80 shovel. I am thinking on buying one and want to know what others have to say on this topic. Pros/Cons please..
Thanks

I was discussing this same issue recently (not necessairly concerning a Baker tranny) but just hi-cap trannies in general with a mechanic friend who has built several nice scooters over the years - and especially likes gearbox work. His attitude is that seems like a lot of gears to cram into the gearbox - which means something has to go such as gear thickness and that is something HE is not willing to compromise on. I too would like an extra gear or two but been riding with four for so long I would probably forget to shift into fifth - or sixth!

there are 5 speed gear sets for 4 speed boxes. None to go from 4 to 6. You will need complete 6 trans for conversion. 6 speeds not holding UP? who says? Most of your Hi HP/Torq customs have six speeds.
