apparently, according to the number, mine is a 1984 and a half crate motor. not that it matters, just thought i'd put in my half a cents' worth. frame had no numbers (bike was a basketcase of misc parts when i got it) so had to use shortened number on left side as VIN number.
just 4 stars on cone

Default the "Last" 1984 FLHS

Cycle World Had a big write up about this Motorcycle in Sept 1984 issue; it said the last Electra Glide rolled across the Factory Floor on June 4, 1984; there were only 550 1984 Shovelheads made, one for each dealer in the US and Canada. Harley Davidson of Milwaulkee Said and confirmed that I had the last one made and where it was sent to. Confirmed only by giving them my Warranty Card Number. you can ask me about it or send message or put Friend request to Steve Simon (Boogie) on facebook. According to Harley Davidson, Monday, June 4th, 1984 was the Day the Last Electra Glide, (1984FLHS Shovel), was Made since 1948 (model years thru 1984), rolling across the factory floor in York, PA. Yours Truly, The Boogieman!!!!!

I bought a Candy Red one (1984 FLHS) just a few days ago.
The previous owner had it for 25 years, purchasing it in 1987.
It now lives in Alabama. Runs great, needs a little TLC
Rode it home from Orlando 539 miles the other weekend after buying it.

Can anyone tell me when this Vin # was produced #EY066236 ??

The S stands for Sport which means a stripped Electra Glide. No Fairing, No Saddlebags Etc. Most of em had forward controls and dual staggered Exhaust only on right side.
A FLHS is a Electra Glide Sport, cause back then their was no Road King.

Default I love this stuff

my 82 FlHS was a long way from the end of the line, but those 84s have always been a high-water mark for H-D. Thanks for the history lessons.
I just bought a new FLD Switchback, since its the first bike since then to give me the combination of the things I liked best from my 82 FLHS, my '91 Sturgis, and my Road King and Electra Glides. Its about time they had a lower lighter frame with the real FL front end!
