Question Recommendations please!!

What would you recommend for new replacement heads for a 1981 80 cu in Shovelhead engine. I can't seem to find any good used ones. ( just need the rear, but I know you gotta buy them in pairs) S & S perhaps?

i was almost ready to post a warning to others, based on what happened to me.last november i bought brand new shovel heads from "motor shop daddy" on e-bay.paid around $650.these were supposedly complete heads ready to bolt on,minus the studs.they came from taiwan.i never disassembled them until a couple weeks ago,i figured i better check them out before installing.what a shock!!!the valve seats looked like they were cut with 60 grit sandpaper, rough as a cob, this is no exaggeration.and of course the valves and seats were never lapped.i had to go to 2 different shops to get the seats ground and valves lapped.the first shop couldn't do it.the seats gummed up his cutters, too soft he said.the second guy got it done costing about $60 more.i tried to contact "motor shop daddy"and of course he won't reply, scum bag.sad thing is i already left positive feed back quite a while ago.am considering trying to modify feedback if ebay let's me.i have no idea if all these heads are like this, but both of mine were.there are other sellers with identical looking heads on ebay.so,anybody thinking of buying these be very very cautious and take them apart to inspect as soon as you get them.and do not buy from motor shop daddy!!!!

If you can't find a good set of OEM heads, the S&S heads are great. I installed a set a few years ago on the 75FXE and couldn't be happier. The heads came assembled with all gaskets and the special bolts that you use instead of the rocker box studs on the stock heads.
