I just bought a 73 shovel with the 93" stroker. It does not have a battery. I just put in a brand new accel battery eliminator. It still wont kick over and start without hooking up a charger to it. Once its running it runs like a champ does anybody have any ideas.

 

What are you running for ignition?? if it pulls too much it will kill that capacitor in no time.

 

Battery eliminators do not work with alternators. At least I could never get one to work. They are used with generators or magnetos. I do believe you will have to install a battery or magneto as your bike uses an alternator for charging.
