Default Police air seat on my Shovel.

I installed a 2006 police seat w/air shock onto my 1976 FXE. I have long legs and wanted to sit higher like the original pogo seat. I found this on Ebay for a good price. Here are a few pics for the interested.

I made the bracket and clamped it to the frame tube. I wasn't ready to weld to the frame till everything is adjusted. The air reservoir is hidden the the saddle bags for now.

I cut and welded the 2006 seat T-bar to the OEM style T-bar from J&P cycles. Sure does soften the highway bumps.

Pretty cool. I always wondered if that would work on a FX frame

The ride is real nice. I would have to guess that if a Police Officer can spend all day on his bike, it should be comfortable. Like I said before, I have long legs and a low slung seat cramps my knees. It also raised me away from the heat of this 93" stroker. There is around 4" of travel in the air bag. I just added enough air to keep me from bottoming out on the worst bumps in my area. 250# rider = 35 psi.
