You got high end ring sets ( chrome moly top rings ) with those pistons and they are going to take awhile to settle in . I've had them smoke a bit for 500+ mi. before so just break it in exactly as KB says or you'll trash the piston skirts . Just heads up on that .
If it keeps it up or starts pushing oil it's valve guide issues or the top ring my have been installed upside down . Some rings are directional in how the go in , this happens it sucks oil up instead of holding compression properly . Had a few home rebuilds come by me and that's what I've found .
