Default Flathead Engine to Shovelhead Frame

Hello All,
I have a question/concern.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I have a 1938 UL engine that I want to mount on my 1983 Shovelhead frame. What adjustment if any do I need to make to the bottom and/or top motormounts?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; This is my next project and I mentally gearing myself for the fun I'm going to endure.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; LOL.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; All information is greatly appreciated.&nbsp\\; I've also posted this in the Flathead section.

Thanks&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;

Prolly not going to get much help here.
And there are enough differences that you will end up fabbing it to fit, anyway.
Sounds like a great project, though.
What has been done to the UL engine?
And post pics!

The motor should bolt right in with very little problems.&nbsp\\; Bolt the rear down first.&nbsp\\; If you then have a gap at the front motor mount make shims to fill the gap out of thin metal or washers if it is large enough.&nbsp\\; Do not just try to tighten it down without the shims or you will break the front mounts.&nbsp\\; I don't see a problem with the top mount but if there is it should be a minor adjustment.&nbsp\\; Good luck and keep us posted with your progress.
