Hey all. I am putting an FL hinged fender on my 79 FXE, and have a question regarding the taillight assembly. I am wanting to put an LED Tombstone taillight, and I dont have a good suggestion for the turnsignals. The fender is at the paint shop, but no holes were filled. So, what can I use, that will also go with the Tombstone, and will mount up without looking stupid?

Any thoughts??

Is the tomb stone tail tight going to cover the hole for the OEM light?
are you going to install saddle bags, hard or soft?
how are you going to mount the license plate?

 

Doss makes a Wide Tombstone light with attached bullet turn signals that looks good and fits over the stock fender hole. I am not sure if the tail light is LED, the turn signals are tho. Doss makes good stuff too.

I was hoping to find something like that, but something that would also fill the holes on the corner where the old light bar went. I dont know about bags, yet. No hard bags, I dont think.

that Doss light has been on my radar. It is incandesant for the tail, but the turns are either amber or red LED.

If there was one option, sure. But since there are too many options to list, I thought I would throw the question out, to see who has ideas, rather than opinions of time frame

So, what'ya got?

 

Anyhow, if I use a aftermarket LED tombstone, I can get one to cover the stock taillight hole, but its the "corner" holes for the turns. This is the thing I am most unfamiliar with. I know that there are many options, I just dont have my old catalogs to look at, and I have not seen as many tombstone taillights with my combination (I am sheltered, I guess). So......this is why I ask.
