Default Shovelhead performance

I am looking for a good sounding exhaust. I have a diesel with a 4" straight pipe exhaust so being too loud doesnt exist

Why not do the same with straight drag pipes? If that is too loud or you want more back pressure, Python staggered duals sound awfully good on a shovel and give good performance also. I am just not sure if Pythons are still available for a 78.

Cycle Shack makes a good system. I have some old HP tests around here that said the CS put out some pretty good numbers. The tapered duals sound pretty good. Not as loud as drags if that is the sound you want.

Yes, I forgot about Cycle Shack. They are very good performers and cannot be beat for the price. I have used them on an Evo with very good results as to performance and sound.

You might want to think about fitting Anti-Reversion cones in straight drag pipes. I'm not sure if they are available exclusively for a shovel or if the Evo's might fit. Made a world of difference in the performance and tunability on my Evo. The exhausts in my Sig photo are Kromewerks ARII's with AR cones straight through with no mufflers or baffles.

Find a 2 into1! Cycle shack still makes one, sounds great. Cant beat a 2 into 1 for performance im my mind.
