Thanks Russ, yes the decal is an issue as i'm guessing yours says ''80 Cubic Inches'' and my bike was born as a 1200 so maybe it had just the reflector ?. Those decals above and below the tank badge are also in question.......ive seen with and without for the '79's.
I love your bike but being a conservative Kiwi i took the light bar and 32 lights off my bike

Thanks Mate , and you have a '78 FXS ?, Niiiice. The '78/'79 FXS in Silver/Black are my all time favourite Shovelhead HD. Can you post some pics please ?

Sure, but I'll wait till the weather clears. We are just coming out of Winter here.

sorry I’m of no help to your question though. But if the missing piece is the reflector on the saddle bag lid, your bike (in my opinion) looks great without it, but I absolutely understand wanting to keep it as factory as possible, so no judgement here!

again, welcome and thanks for the post!
Yes i hear what you are saying. i'm very ok with how it is too . I'm cool with a custom bike or a stock bike.....i just thought this bike is so close to stock perhaps i should take it all the way there.
Thanks for the comment and Ride Safe.

ttt
This is my old girl at home in NZ, I imported it a couple of years back this paint do. I'll turn it back to burnt silver one day. Off the road now with buggered breather housing so the faithful 78 T140 is back in use.
There you go Buller.
