Very common to see the block in S&S because the stupid factory studs pulled out installed many up side down we did many as a oem block is and was week

same east coast the money is to the visual of the machine not the engine per say

well, what's rare on my bike it's an S&S engine on an fxef frame

If it does not have a Harley-Davidson motor, it is not a Harley-Davidson.

I have S&S rods in mine. Beefier than the old stock ones. Balanced the crank too.
Probably last forever.

Huh??? Better sell my S&S engine Cheap!!!
I guess my F150 with a 360 in it was a Fake also...Not to mention all the Jeeps floating around with Small Block Ceby's
Nope ...I'm with John...My VIN tells what My Stuff is...Unless I go to AMCA...which, I don't need either!!

Maybe to the government, but in the heart of the buyer, it ceases to be a HD. If I contort an Indian motor into the HD frame, is it really a Harley-Davidson? Or is it a restomod?
Why is the company named Harley-Davidson Motor Company Group LLC, as per Bloomberg? It is not named the Harley-Davidson Frame Company.
Same for Ford Motor Company.
If an old Corvette is restored but with a not correct serial number, replacement, engine, the value of the car takes a tremendous hit in value. It is a restomod.
I would guess that a Harley-Davidson frame with an S&S engine is less valuable than a restomod.
This is just my opinion.

This is just my opinion.
Why not call it what it is? It's a Harley Davidson with an Indian engine in it. The engine isn't magic transforming it into something it isn't. If that was the case I'd put a Ferrari engine in a Fiero and get Ferrari money for it.

I agree. It is a pile of junk and the value plummets tremendously.
Same as a Harley-Davidson frame with an S&S motor.

Some of these resto mods are pulling more money than NCRS restored cars. I know a guy that has a S&S engine in his 79 FXS, says he hates HD. The frame, transmission and swing arm, shocks along with title are OEM and he believes it is not a HD. Whatever...
