The rear inner fender is the hardest part to find but I can make one using an FL rear fender just as HD did. You can see where they just cut the unneeded section off an already available part.

Aluminum rim depends on year for O.E.
Same with gas Tanks.. Split for FX/FXE is actually an Early and then again Late Thing..Late being FXEF!!

Are you certain it’s 18? If it is I’ll have to watch for more of them.

I don’t know if any heat shields were used for the 72FX. None listed for 71 in my 61–71 catalog.

However, for late-72s an insulator and insulator clamp for the MC are both visible and listed on the pages Joe posted.

It seems the footboard tab on the primary and the crashbar/footboard tab on the shifter mount were present on Super Glides for 71–73. Maybe even some early-74s had the primary tab?
Here’s a 73 from Cycle magazine.

Re the MC, it shifted to the back as of late-72s. Notice its support bracket #42299-72 is visible and listed on pages Joe posted. Certain other rear brake-related parts are also listed as available for use on late-72s.

Another post to follow.

Thanks Eric, I'll scrape off the area to make sure its an 18 then blend some paint back in.

Whats the deal with the fiberglass front fender? I saw one on another bike listed for sale and wondered if it was an option or an owner mod and now I see its offered.

Boat tail light looks a lot like a 1965 chevy impala. Dad had one.

Gasbox Y-pipe on, fit really nice with no drama and a kicker arm I believe to be correct or close at least.
