And I did so without reprimanding anyone. If nobody disagreed about the alleged missing tab then where would that leave the OP? He would be left thinking that the tab was indeed missing. But it isn’t missing because it was not required in the first place, given that the frame looks like a mid/later-75 to 76 model as I mentioned in my first post.

Look you made your point and I conceded saying I could be wrong as it's been a while and frankly it about a as trivial an item on the OP frame at this point as it gets considering it obviously has bigger real life issues with the neck numbers being gone and it's been hacked on in a couple spots.

So are we going to move on over and actually help the man or is it gonna keep getting harped on like a nagging wife like to play when you put down in the wrong place by accident for the foreseeable future...

I think it's less about the detail of the missing tab and more about how you're coming across and you didn't really concede. You begrudgingly said you could be wrong and quickly changed the subject. Big difference.

And I'm done , will be curious how badly he gets screwed when the neck numbers come back to bite him in the *** but somehow doubt we'll ever hear about it.

Very nice Triumph. My first bike was a ‘68 Daytona. Love the classic lines of the old Triumphs.
