Given the Evo cam, it's possible that you have an Evo conversion setup from Velva-Touch or similar manufacturer.

What i see - stock lifters hyd - but after market lifter blocks - evo lobe profile ???? And shovel parts but the cam lobe lift is almost exact

the cam has me thinking - if i had a shovel i own was running i would swap that out to what you have and dyno it - just because

stranger **** has happened and worked

Sorry I'm not getting what ur saying?
I haven't heard this run.
I bought it as is ..only was gonna replace what needed n get it running.

But seems she's Frankensteined all up.

so I'm either stuck buying all new everything or freshen up top end put back together and hope for the best

I paid $1800 canadian, and was hoping only to dump another $1800 Canadian into it.

Not looking for performance .just a running and as reliable a a shovel can be engine.

I'm using an 89 5 speed tranny and put in gears shifter and pawl from a 2002 up 5speed

It's going in an 89 flt frame

Just put a shovel hyd cam in it - the lifter blocks are fine even as re pops - what ever the shop that is helping you uses as long as they know what your doing

I'm doing it myself
i did a complete rebuild on my TC
bottom up.
This is my first shovel ..always wanted one

Appreciate it a lot

Ask any thing your not sure about what ever - the guys hear are always willing to lend a hand

if I go back to a shovel cam. I suppose I'll need new lifters too.

John's been saying Andrews A2 cam is what works best for most stock-ish shovelheads. Looks like you have shovel lifters already.
