Here's my new to me 79 Lowrider , I paid too much but I wanted it and there hard to find, really hard to find. Pic is a mock up heads were removed 15 years ago and then the owner died I bought it few weeks ago from his brother plans are to clean it up arun it , I dig stock bikes so I will not mod this bike beyond a carb and pipes. Any thoughts on black wrinkle paint? The engine paint is shabby I need to touch it up a bit.

i know the late '78 aka 78 1/2 also came in black because that's what i had . the original photo is a bit dark if my memory is correct the actual bike was lighter than this . also if memory doesn't fail me this is the same colour as the '77 . not sure about '79 except i think there was one with the same grey with a black panel on the tank .

and biczeq do yourself a favour and don't **** off johnjzjz , he knows more about the bike you're asking about than the guys who assembled it at the factory .
post pics of what you've got and ask specific questions and you'll get better responses .
My 1979 FXEF was the same grey color when I got it
