Went to pick up a used bike jack and the nice old lady asked me if I was interested in old bikes. I had to be on my best behavior before she’d let me in the garage with the bikes. She said the only two she was selling for now Was the blue 75 with side hack and the brown & gold 78. Her prices were pretty high but it was still cool to check out a bunch of old shovels and a pan.

What do you call high prices ?

 

$17k for both was her original price. I’m sure they can be bought for less. I told her folks are buying snowmobiles this time of year not bikes.

People that would be serious about buying any of those bikes and are not just some flipper would not care about time of year. They would have a much much longer view of things. The Sidecar rig would be interesting to hear the full story on. To the right person it may have more value than you think.

 

Back story on the bikes?

 

The Panhead looks to be in great shape.

 

The story I got on the bikes was they sat in a bar/pool hall for years. I guess the ladies husband owned the bar. I believe he passed away and they have been sitting in the garage. She has a son in jail and may need money for a lawyer. Says she has good titles on the bikes.
She told me someone is coming to get the Fire Chief bike but hasnt heard from him in a while.

Let him rot in jail. Sell bikes fund your retirement lady.. Kid will just blow the money anyway.
