Always amazed that folks think a special paint job raises the price/resale value on a bike by a gazillion samollians.

Other than "paint" and "decals", that bike and my 84 FLH are the same (tour-pak & passenger backrest are on the shelf). That said the one in the title of the thread is probably a heck of a lot cleaner and probably has less miles than mine. But Shovels (like all old iron) are supposed to be ridden and not just admired from a distance IMHO.

And yes 1984 was "officially" the last year for the Shovel platform, but there are registered 1985 Shovels out there. Seems there were a few left over parts and such.

Nice bike...seen them advertised for stupid money, which they don't seem to fetch.
Still, one at a reasonable price would be nice to have..... laced wheels and white paint. IMHO the '82-'84 FLH belt drive was a pretty special bike.

No departments had a lot invested in shovel spares so the surprise of they will be getting evos was rejected and harley assembled the bikes they had agreed to in writing

budget stuff for the police

well it is a last official year of production , limited edition , special paint , 100% stock , 3 miles on the odometer bike . that's got to worth something . maybe not as much as the owner is asking .
